
If you wondering what to go to school for, you’re not alone. In today’s rough economy more and more people are loosing jobs and taking steps to go back to school and train for new careers.
There are however several things that you may want to know before deciding if a career is right for you. Are there going to be jobs in my chosen field of study? This is the million dollar question.
Investors.com reports that the U.S. Economy needs to create 150,000 jobs each month to stop the unemployment rate from going up.
Many labor force analysts will and have argued that employment outlooks are gloomy to say the least. There are however, many careers where demand for new workers is on the rise, even exceeding the rate of population growth.
Students deciding to go back into continuing education are faced with much of the same questions with one similar distinction: Will my current college credits I have earned carry over to my new school?
Sometimes college and university credits may not be accepted by a separate entity, even if both schools are accredited. We’ve even seen instances where school credits didn’t apply because a prolonged period had passed, even at the same school!
We suggest contacting your university or college that you have accumulated credits at for more information. You’ll also want to know if the school your matriculating to will accept them.
The last thing you want to do is take those level 100, and 200 classes over again.
